Kerala in CeBIT Australia 2013 – May 28-30, Sydney

CeBIT is the biggest IT event in Australia. The venue for CeBIT this year is Sydney convention centre, Darling Harbour, Australia.

This year Kerala is one of the sponsors of CeBIT, Sydney. More than 20 companies from Kerala are exhibiting in CeBIT. Out of this, many of them are business start-ups with interesting products.

Kerala pavilion is getting good attraction from CeBIT participants. Last year, India was the partner country (for CeBIT 2012 Sydney). This year, Kerala is the only State sponsor from India. This gives such a good branding for Kerala as the next IT destination in India.

There are many Australian IT companies searching for reliable outsourcing partners in India. Some of the big challenges faced by Australian companies with IT outsourcing include communication, quality and promptness in delivery.

Australians are keen to associate with Asian countries as they think that next generation of growth is going to come from Asia. There is lot of talk happening about this from Policy makers.

The prominent representation of Kerala in CeBIT wills definitely help Kerala’s Emerging IT outsourcing sector.

Mr. PH Kurian (The IT secretary of Kerala), Mr. KG Girish Babu (CEO Technopark, Trivandrum) and Mr. M Vasudevan (Sr. Manager Business Development) are attending CeBIT and actively promoting Kerala as the best IT destination of India. Surprisingly Kerala boast of the least IT attrition rate which is just 5% against an Indian average of around 20%. Kerala has a huge talent pool.
